Additionally, we would like to highlight the important work of the Hamburg Cold Bus – emergency aid on the cold streets of our city. This number saves lives: 0151 – 65 68 33 68. From November to April, the Cold Bus operates every night from 19:00 to 24:00. It transports needy homeless people to the facilities of the Winter Emergency Program and provides those who do not wish to travel with the essentials to survive the night.

The Hamburg Cold Bus can also transport wheelchair users and is managed by CaFée mit Herz, funded solely through donations. Nearly 60 volunteers, many from the medical or nursing sector, support the project. In summer, the Cold Bus serves as a Heat Bus, distributing water bottles on particularly hot days.

Everyone can help: If you see a needy homeless person, you can call the Cold Bus at 0151 – 65 68 33 68. In cases of serious health problems, do not hesitate to call emergency services.
